Welcome to the Orthodox Motorcycle Association (OMA). We are a nationwide Orthodox Christian motorcycle association open to men, women, and young persons 12 and over (with parental consent), to serve and provide unmercenary (without pay) security and a safe atmosphere for Orthodox Christians. To join, you must be an Orthodox Christian (or Catechumen), but you do not need to own a motorcycle (yet), or even know how to ride – we’ll teach you. That’s because we’re all about Orthodox brotherhood and family first; the motorcycles symbolizes Orthodox masculinity and freedom in Christ. We simply ask that you be willing to try riding a bike (trike, quad, sidecar, back/pillion, etc.), have love in your heart for Christ, protecting and helping people, and supporting OMA in our mission of promoting men’s health and well-being in Christ: spirit, mind, and body. (1 Thessalonians 5:23: “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”)
OMA was established 8.8.17 (OS) in Detroit, Michigan by Joshua “Maestro” Jobst as the support/parent club of DOC (Dead Orthodox Club: the highest level within OMA). His vision is Orthodox men riding for Christ, building an Orthodox security network in America, and advancing men’s health and well-being in Christ (“men helping men become better men.”) Heal men, and you heal the family and the nation. Riding motorcycles is Orthodox (modern-day Kozaks riding iron horses in symphonia), brotherhood, healthy masculinity, trust-building, therapeutic, American, freedom, cool, and fun in Christ. We strive to sanctify the culture and go out to “the least of these” in society. OMA provides security, safety, service, outreach, education, transportation, love and compassion without discrimination to local Orthodox communities and beyond.
OMA welcomes all people without judgement. We proudly ride our motorcycles across America, witnessing to the grace-energy-power of the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the healing and transforming power of Jesus Christ through His visible Body, the Orthodox Church, and protecting and helping those in need: especially suffering men, women, children, homeless, sick, mentally ill, and struggling folks. Please pray for us! Join us! And support OMA today for an Orthodox America!
